CURRICULUM VITAE 

Pastor, Tenor, Pianist, and Conductor, Daniel Salls has enjoyed a successful career, both as an artist, a pedagogue, and as a professional performer. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Daniel Salls began his musical studies at the age of six. He has earned bachelor degrees, in both voice and piano performance emphasis from West Virginia University, and a master degree from University of Texas at Austin in opera performance. He has received numerous scholarships and honorable awards such as, participating in the master classes with world renowned performers, winning many international and domestic competitions both as the singer and as the pianist. Daniel Salls worked as a staff accompanist for high schools and university programs, as a music director for numerous churches, as an opera singer with a company such as Austin Lyric Opera, as a stage director for universities, and as a soloist for many organizations and institutions. He has made multiple appearances as a soloist and as a solo pianist including performances with the WVU symphony orchestra playing Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No.1, Austin Lyric Opera, Bethany College Gala. Mr. Salls has also given collaborative performances in many notable venues and festivals, including the Opera Works, the International Opera Tours in Mexico, Costa Rica, Germany, the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Baptist Convention. Some of his operatic roles includes Ferrando (Cosi fan tutte), Nemorino (L’Elisir d’Amore), Sam Polk (Susannah), Candide (Candide), Tamino (Die Zauberflote), and Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi). At the age of 21, Daniel Salls began his first ministry experience as an orchestra director at the Morgantown Korean Church in Morgantown, WV., and he continued on as a music director at such churches as the Vision of Heaven Baptist church in South Korea, the Austin Korean Presbyterian church in Austin, TX, and the Lone Camp Baptist Church in Palo Pinto, TX. Upon receiving the Master of Divinity degree from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he was ordained as a pastor in the year of 2012 and has served as the Pastor of Music and Senior Adult at the Bella Vista Baptist Church AR, and now serving at Birchman Baptist Church as the worship pastor where he is in charge of 450 people department and 10,000 people attendance productions annually.

Concert and collaborative pianist, Dr. SeonYoung Im has enjoyed a successful career, as an artist, a pedagogue, and an educator. Born in Anyang, South Korea, Dr. Im began her musical studies at the age of four. Upon the graduation from the Sun Hwa Arts School, she has earned a bachelor degree from Yonsei University, with an emphasis in piano performance. Both master and doctoral degrees are earned from University of Texas at Austin, with an emphasis in piano performance as well. Dr. Im has received the Piano Faculty Scholarship from UT Austin and the Excellence Performance Scholarship from Yonsei University. She has been given numerous honorable awards including but not limited to the 1st prize winner in Mozart concerto Competition and the finalist of the National Suri Competition, both in South Korea. Dr. Im also received the privilege of performing the Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Korean Philharmonic Orchestra. Her principal teachers include Il Ta Cho, Sekyung Park, Jinwoo Jeong, Bangsuk Lee, and David A. Renner. Dr. Im also has coached with many renowned artists such as Solomon Mikowsky, Douglas Humphreys, Heasook Rhee, and Malcolm Bilson. She worked as the staff accompanist for the Chamber Music Program in Courchevel, France. Dr. Im has made numerous appearances as a solo pianist including the performances with the Korean Philharmonic Orchestra, Kostomucksha International Music Academia in Russia, Eumyoun Music Festival, and Music Alp in France. Dr. Im currently serves as a faculty member at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary school of church music and worship in Fort Worth, TX where she teaches piano literature on top of the applied lessons. Previously, she served as a faculty member at Ecclesia College, Northwest Arkansas Community College, Bentonville, AR.
